The famous person I chose was the creator of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg was born May 14, 1984. Facebook was created in February of 2004 in his Harvard dorm room. At first, the site was launched strictly for Harvard alone, until he decided to spread Facbook to other schools. At first, Stanford, Dartmouth, Columbia, Cornell, and Yale were the other schools linked to Harvard. Zuckerberg had help from classmates Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, and Chris Hughes.
Now Facebook has grown into a 350 million user visited site. Anyone can be found on facebook, parents, aunts, uncles, even grandparents. Businesses are now using facebook to grow their consumer base. I think that Mark Zuckerberg is definitely a significant individual in regards to our internet history.
